Fibreco Product Overview
Traditionally, fiber connectivity is done by physical contact. In this type of connection, the cleanliness of the connector and the fiber optic contacts are critical to ensuring signal integrity. Traditional physical contact requires costly maintenance tools such as cleaners and probes in order to maintain the cleanliness of the connection. This is not the case with Cinch’s expanded beam technology. Expanded beam technology can help you to avoid costly downtime when connections become dirty and damaged.
So what is expanded beam technology? With physical contact connectors, the optical fibers are normally mounted in a cylindrical ferrule which is specially polished to allow to ferrules to be mated together providing a fiber joint that is aligned using high precision components. Expanded beam connectors use a lens placed in front of the fiber to expand and collimate the emitting beam of light. This expanded beam is then refocused back into the fiber of the mating half.
Expanded beam connectors are ideal for harsh environments, both indoors or outdoors. To demonstrate, we immerse this plug connector in mud. The connection is fully sealed even without the dust cap fitted. The mud will not damage the expanded beam insert. A physical contact connector would almost certainly already be destroyed in this state. We rinsed the connector face in water to remove mud and debris. A hose, bucket of water, stream, or any muddy puddle will do. Then we dry and wipe clean the insert face. Ideally you would use a clean cloth or tissue, but if these are not available, then the bottom of your shirt will do. To clean a physical contact connector requires costly specialty equipment. With Fibreco expanded beam technology, there is no damage to the insert surfaces or lenses. After reconnection, we are immediately ready for service. The whole cleaning cycle was completed in just a few minutes with little to no variation in signal and very minimal downtime.

Dura-Con™ Product Overview
Cinch Dura-Con D-shaped Micro Miniature Connectors are available in over 5,000 configurations that are qualified to MIL-DTL-83513 standards. Plugs and sockets are offered with nine to 100 positions and with metal shells that provide EMI shielding and enhanced robustness or plastic shells that are lighter and more economical. Both are available in wire, solder cup, or PCB terminations. PCB mount versions offer three solder pin lengths and straight and right angle configurations, as well as a narrow right angle option for reduced panel spacing. Dura-Con MIL-DTL-83513 connectors are rated for 600 volts ACS sea level. Commercial and high temperature variants are also available.
Dura-Con Micro-D hermetic connectors add a proprietary epoxy compound resin that has a lower applied cost than glass sealed connectors, and maintains its seal under high vibration in shock where glass seals fail. The connectors have a Fluoro-silicone O-ring to seal against the panel and have a total leak rate of less than 1 x 10 to the negative 8 cc's per second of helium cross a 1 atmosphere pressure differential. Dura-Con hermetic connectors used the same rugged twist pin contact and are rated for 900 volts AC at sea level. Power Over Ethernet (PoE) offers the simplicity of carrying data and up to 100W of power over a standard ethernet cable. While the power sourcing equipment monitors and limits the current supplied to the powered device, fuses provide an added layer of protection in case the primary protection fails, or the overcurrent comes from a different source. Signal Transformer HCTC Chokes and HCTI Inductors
Signal Transformer’s HCTC and HCTI series of high current toroidal chokes and inductors can carry up to 20 amps and are designed for use in switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, and EV charging circuits. HCTC chokes provide excellent EMI suppression and are available with inductance values from 1mH to 50mH millihenries using the largest possible conductor to minimize heat-rise. HCTI inductors are offered from 10uH to 1000uH microhenries and have a self-shielded construction to minimize magnetic radiation. They also have low core loss and low DCR to maximize efficiency and can be used on their own for Output Filtering, making them an optimal choice. For input filtering and PFC, designers can achieve optimum circuit performance by using one HCTC as the common mode choke in combination with two HCTIs as the differential mode inductors and a third HCTI for PFC. Both series can be used from -55°C to +105°C and feature a vertical PCB mounting design to minimize PCB space.
