Stewart Connector Introduces USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 Connectors


Glen Rock, PA, [January 8, 2017] Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB) and world class manufacturer of RJ45 connectors used in Ethernet communications announces the release of the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 Type-A connectors, designed to meet the ever-growing demand for small, robust and reliable I/O connectors that comply to Universal Serial Bus Standards.

Stewart USB connectors are designed to support data speeds up to 5 Gbps for USB 3.0 and up to 480 Mbps for USB 2.0 applications. The USB Type-A connectors utilize a reliable design that allows for plug and play capabilities where hot pluggable insertion and ejections occur. All Stewart Connector USB connectors are plated with 30 micro-inches of gold on each contact so that USB 2.0 connectors can withstand a peak current of 1.5A per contact and USB 3.0 connectors are rated to withstand a peak current of 1.8A per contact. Both USB connector offerings are rated for IR Reflow and Wave Soldering process while also maintaining a standard operating temperature of -55°C to 85°C.
Stewart’s USB 2.0 and 3.0 connectors are designed to meet the industries increasing demand for economic solutions where space and faster data rates are a premium. These small form factor, very robust and highly reliable USB connectors are used in IOT devices, laptop and desktop computers, servers.
