Stewart Connector Introduces Multi Axis RJ45 Punch Down Modular Plugs
Glen Rock, PA, [January 10, 2020] Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB) and world class manufacturer of high-speed connectors used in Data Communication applications announces the release of the Cat6 and Cat6A Multi Axis RJ45 punch down Modular Plugs.
Stewart Connector’s Multi Axis RJ45 punch down plugs are time-saving solutions for Ethernet connections that require field terminations. The Multi Axis punch down plug offers a 90° termination position with final position options of top, bottom or side entry. The easy to use color-coded conductor pre-load wire manager provides an efficient termination without the need of tools.
The Multi Axis punch down plugs can be used for solid or stranded 22-26 AWG cable with a diameter over the conductor insulation up to 1.6mm (0.63in) and accepts an overall cable OD of 6mm (0.236in) to 8mm (0.315in). These connectors feature contacts with 50 micro inches of gold plating for increased cycle life. The Multi Axis punch down plugs are IP20 rated and include a zinc die-cast housing and latch protectors which are suitable to withstand harsh environments. The Cat6 version of the Multi-Axis plug is suitable for use in 1G Base-T networks and the Cat6A version is suitable for 10G Base-T networks.
The applications for Stewart’s Multi-Axis RJ45 punch down plugs include data, telecom, wireless, PoE applications and industrial equipment connections.
