Signal Transformer’s Stepdown Series Now UL Recognized to Product category XPTQ2, USR/CNR investigated to UL 5085-1, UL 5085-2
Inwood, NY [March 29, 2017] Signal Transformer, a Bel group company (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB) and global manufacturer of custom and standard transformers, chokes, inductors, single & three phase transformers, and SMD inductors, announces the Stepdown Series (SLT) now UL Recognized to Transformer Safety Standards UL5085-1, UL 5085-2.
The SLT series incorporates double reinforced insulation, and is ideally suited for a lighting applications, such as mains and emergency lighting. The series’ construction utilizes low-loss silicon steel for higher efficiency and UL 94V0 flame rated polymers. In addition, their UL Class F rated insulation system permits operation in high ambient temperatures up to 80°C. Moreover, their non-concentric construction provides superior isolation, <30 μA leakage current, and more than 12 mm of creepage distance between the primary and secondary windings. All SLT transformers are rated and tested to 4 KV hipot. Additionally, the SLT series can be customized into a variety of configurations, maintaining all UL Safety Agency approvals.
